    The Challenge

    The objective was to develop a cohesive visual direction that could adapt to the recurring needs of the bar’s summer programming. Each piece needed to be unique and engaging, while maintaining consistency across formats and promotional cycles.

    The Brand

    Lydia Cocktail Bar is a summer-only cocktail bar located on the island of Samothrace. Each year, it hosts events, parties, and daily cocktail experiences, requiring a consistent stream of promotional and branded material throughout the season.

    Design Approach

    Inspired by Samothraki’s natural rhythms and light, the design system leaned into abstract landscapes and vibrant gradients drawn from different hours of the day dawn, dusk, and nightfall. Colors were chosen not just for their energy, but for their ability to evoke mood and environment.

    Across each touchpoint, from posters to menus to feather flags, the visuals blended friendliness with expressive forms. The design intention was not corporate or rigid, but warm and inviting, reflecting the social and relaxed atmosphere of the venue.

    While the logotype and foundational style were inherited, all layouts, illustrations, and typographic compositions were developed with freedom and creative direction.

    Outcome

    All print and digital materials were used successfully throughout multiple summer seasons. The visual consistency and playful energy contributed to the venue’s brand recognition, while also drawing attention to specific events and offers. Feedback from the client was consistently positive, emphasizing both the aesthetic coherence and the collaborative workflow.
