The Challenge
The goal was to create animated visuals designed for maximum visibility for stadium perimeter LED displays, visible during football and basketball matches across Greece, including venues such as PAOK, AEK, and Iraklis.
Each event had its own theme ranging from agriculture and technology to tourism and culture. The design task was to reflect the essence of each exhibition while maintaining a consistent brand presence for HELEXPO across all spots and formats.
The Brand
TIF HELEXPO is Greece’s national exhibition organization, hosting a wide range of international expos in Thessaloniki throughout the year. In collaboration with Honeybee Productions, a recurring motion graphics campaign has been developed over the past four years to promote these events.
Design Approach
Each animation was built from scratch using weekly assets provided For every campaign, a custom animated piece was created, aligning visually with the theme of the exhibition and optimized for large-format LED display environments. Key principles included:
- Visuals reflecting the subject of each event based on the focus of each event
- Brand consistency through logo usage and HELEXPO’s color system
- High-contrast typography for legibility in stadium conditions
The design process accounted for technical constraints such as resolution, screen ratio, and motion safety within fast-paced visual environments.

Outcome
Over four years, dozens of motion graphics spots have been delivered and broadcast across stadiums nationwide. These campaigns increase HELEXPO’s visibility, extending its visibility to wide audiences during major sports events.
The collaboration remains active, with new visuals developed every 2-3 months to promote upcoming expos throughout the year and Greece’s largest annual fair.
