Projects grow slowly with understanding, careful thinking, and room for ideas to settle. When form meets purpose, design achieves rhythm, clarity, and intention.
If this feels familiar, perhaps we should start a conversation.

    The Challenge

On a weekly basis, editorial inserts had to be promoted through distinct, tailored motion design that respected both the content of the supplement and the branding of its host publication.

With no global template in place, every deliverable required the development of a unique visual language that matched the supplement’s theme while maintaining the core identity of the parent newspaper.

    The Brand

Parapolitika Media (now: NextStep Media Group) is one of Greece’s most prominent media groups, with a strong presence across national newspapers, digital platforms, and strategic partnerships including “The Times” and “Daily Mail.” Among its leading print titles are “Parapolitika,” “Apogevmatini,” “Ontime,” “Kivotos tis Orthodoxias,” and others. As part of its publishing strategy, the group promotes a wide range of weekly supplements including magazines, books, collectibles, and editorial inserts.

    Design Approach

Each animation was built from scratch using weekly assets provided as flat PDFs originally intended for print. These layouts were transformed into dynamic mockups that simulated physical books, magazines, and packaging.

To align with each supplement’s theme, the design approach varied week to week:

    • Vintage-inspired visuals for history volumes
    • High-tech graphics for innovation-focused editions
    • Fresh outdoor tones for lifestyle themes like fishing or hunting
    • Editorial clarity for religious or current affairs content

Each spot was timed to pre-recorded voiceovers, integrating pacing and transitions that suited the subject matter. Core elements such as the publication’s signature packshot ensured brand consistency across all iterations.

All visual production, including animation, compositing, and styling, was executed end-to-end to maintain a high standard across deliverables.

    Outcome

Over time, the project required creative flexibility, fast execution, and continuous visual reinvention. Despite the recurring schedule, each piece retained a distinct tone and presentation.

Now in its seventh year, the collaboration continues with weekly deliveries of broadcast-ready material. To date, the project includes the creation of more than 900 unique TV spots, aired across major national channels. On average, 3-4 commercials are produced each week, balancing speed, variation, and production quality.

Client interactions and approvals were coordinated directly with Parapolitika Media, while production was executed in collaboration with Honeybee Productions. Feedback consistently emphasized the reliability and adaptability of the process.
